# Delete Contact

Permanently deletes a contact, both channels, subscriptions, tags, field values and history. The contact leaves campaigns and automations; there is no undo. Only delete a contact the user explicitly asked to delete, after naming the contact back to them. To keep it, use unsubscribe-contact.
